Background: Declining Physical Abilities in Children and Parental Burden

According to a Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology survey, the physical abilities of 5-year-olds in 2007 had declined to the level of 3-year-olds in 1985, indicating a two-year regression in children's motor skills over just two decades.
