Alfresa Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yusuke Fukujin), a subsidiary of our company, has decided to establish a study group with Seiko Corporation (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Masatoshi In) to focus on the efficiency and advancement of the supply chain in the clinical laboratory reagent wholesale business. In the clinical laboratory reagent industry, testing is becoming more sophisticated and diverse due to the aging population and the progress of personalized medicine. Additionally, changes in the external environment, such as rising raw material and logistics costs, have increased the importance of stable supply. Alfresa leverages a nationwide distribution network, while Seiko has a strong foundation as a specialized trading company for clinical laboratory reagents, primarily in Kyushu and Okinawa. By combining their expertise, both companies aim to develop solutions for industry-wide challenges.
