Alfresa Co., Ltd. Signs Basic Agreement on Succession of Facilities and Equipment from Sega Sammy Holdings’ Industrial Baseball Team and Preparation for Establishing and Operating a New Team

Alfresa Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yusuke Fukogami; hereinafter 'Alfresa'), a subsidiary of our company, has signed a basic agreement with Sega Sammy Holdings Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President, Group CEO: Osanori Satomi; hereinafter 'Sega Sammy') regarding the succession of facilities and equipment of the industrial baseball team 'Sega Sammy Baseball Team' operated by Sega Sammy, and the preparation for establishing and operating a new industrial baseball team to join the Japan Amateur Baseball Association, a public interest incorporated foundation. We hereby announce the details as follows.

1. Background and Purpose

The Alfresa Group, which upholds 'Safety, Security, and Sincerity' as its group philosophy and contributes to local healthcare through stable supply of pharmaceuticals—vital products—and supports people's health, positions talent acquisition, development, and active engagement as one of its key sustainability issues, based on the belief that 'human resources are the driving force of growth.'

The Sega Sammy Baseball Team has a history of over 20 years, achieving outstanding results in tournaments such as the Urban Corporate Baseball Championship and the Japanese Championship, and has produced professional baseball players. The team has also actively contributed to local communities through events and sports clinics.

In light of the team's decision to discontinue activities after the 2026 season, Alfresa has signed a basic agreement with Sega Sammy to initiate discussions on succeeding its operational foundation—including players, team staff, training facilities, and team management know-how. Going forward, Alfresa will proceed with preparations for establishing a new baseball team in alignment with its group philosophy of 'Safety, Security, and Sincerity,' together with relevant stakeholders.

Through the sport of baseball, Alfresa aims to foster values and behavioral norms such as continuous effort toward goals, collaboration through role sharing, learning from failure and improving, discipline, initiative, teamwork, and perseverance.
