The city hotel 'Grand Mercure Sapporo Odori Park' (Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido / General Manager: Shumpei Mizuno), located in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido, has implemented a significant expansion of its 'Classic Triple' rooms—designed for multiple guests, primarily focusing on 3-person usage—against the backdrop of rising inbound demand and the diversification of accommodation styles.

In recent years, with the increase in foreign tourists visiting Japan, long-term stays, group travels, and family usage have expanded in Sapporo, leading to a heightened need for guest rooms that can accommodate multiple people in one room. Given this background, our hotel has reviewed its previous room configuration, which was centered on 1-2 person rooms for business use, and expanded the number of triple rooms.

Through this renovation, the 'Classic Triple' rooms, which can accommodate 3 guests, have been significantly expanded from the previous 16 rooms to 105 rooms. We aim to enhance our value as a new base for Sapporo tourism by catering to a wide range of usage scenarios, including trips with friends, family vacations, and group stays including inbound tourists.
