【What is HuRoC?】

HuRoC (Human-Robot Commons) is a co-creation platform that experiments and creates a future where humans and robots live, work, learn, and interact together.

The future of robots is something we all think about, use, and nurture together.

That is the common future that HuRoC aims for.

【Background】

Currently, the development of AI technology and robot manufacturing technology is rapidly advancing, centered around the United States and China.

However, the question of "how to use humanoid robots in society" has not yet been sufficiently discussed or verified globally.

HuRoC focuses not on the technology itself, but on the social implementation and use cases of humanoid robots, aiming to concretize their future vision.

Ota Ward as a Test Field

HuRoC will primarily operate in Ota Ward, Tokyo.

Ota Ward is home to small factories, small and medium-sized manufacturing industries, logistics facilities, Haneda Airport, shopping districts, residential areas, and a diverse range of residents. This urban structure is a microcosm of Japanese society and an ideal field for verifying the social implementation of humanoid robots.

HuRoC will leverage this regional environment to create opportunities for the practical application of humanoid robots.

【Main Roles of HuRoC】

HuRoC will produce demonstrations of humanoid robots.

HuRoC will match robot businesses, AI researchers, and demonstration fields to promote the social demonstration of humanoid robots. Through demonstrations in various environments such as factories, logistics, commercial facilities, and residences, HuRoC will develop humanoid robot use cases and verify future living models where humans and robots coexist.

【Creation of AI Learning Data】

The evolution of humanoid robots requires action data from the real world. HuRoC aims to create AI learning data based on real-world work data, movement data, human interaction, and environmental recognition through urban environment demonstrations.

【Robot Manufacturing through AM (Additive Manufacturing)】

In the future, we believe that the use of Additive Manufacturing (AM) will be important in the manufacturing of humanoid robots. AM enables small-lot production, advanced structural design, and continuous design updates, making it highly compatible with humanoid robot manufacturing. By combining the manufacturing technology of Ota Ward with AM, we aim to lead the design of next-generation robot manufacturing.

【Presentation of Rules and Vision for the Future Society】

In a society where humanoid robots enter and coexist with daily life, new challenges arise in ethics, rules, social systems, and lifestyle design. HuRoC, together with experts, researchers, and companies, will raise issues, propose rules, visualize future lifestyles, and design the societal image of the humanoid robot era.

【Our Vision for the Future】

From Ota Ward, HuRoC aims to create a new industrial model that forms the foundation of a humanoid robot society through the following cycle:

・Creation of AI learning data through urban demonstrations

・Design and manufacturing of humanoid robots through AM

・Global expansion of design data and AI data

【HuRoC EXPO 2026 Opening on July 17th (Fri)】

Cutting-edge robotics and manufacturing technologies, including humanoids, robot arms, transport robots, mobility, AI, and 3D printers, will gather at Ota Ward Industrial Plaza PiO!

We will hold lectures and discussions on the future of humanoid robots, agricultural robotization, and the social implementation of robots and new businesses through co-creation by small factories, startups, large corporations, and universities in the era of physical AI manufacturing!
