ANA Special Charter Cruise! "Lake Akan Fireworks Night Cruise" Now Available

ANA Travelers will launch the "Lake Akan Fireworks Night Cruise".

In conjunction with the regional traditional event "77th Marimo Festival", ANA will operate a special charter boat (Akan Kanko Kisen) and hold a fireworks display on Lake Akan.

On this exclusive night cruise, guests can enjoy spectacular fireworks launched solely for the ANA special charter boat. Additionally, unique onboard programs include talk events where guests can experience Ainu culture and traditional musical performances.

This tour will operate a special ANA charter boat in conjunction with the annual traditional event "Marimo Festival" (October 8-10, 2026) held in Lake Akan Onsen, Hokkaido. Fireworks will be launched to coincide with this cruise, allowing guests to enjoy the spectacular fireworks along with the mystical starry sky over Lake Akan.

This initiative is a collaboration with local stakeholders, including the NPO Akan Tourism Association Machizukuri Promotion Organization and the Lake Akan Onsen Ryokan Association, offering an experience that allows guests to immerse themselves in the rich nature and Ainu culture of the eastern Hokkaido region. By working together with the local community to make this event a success, we aim to further revitalize the region.

<Highlights of the ANA Special Charter Boat>

Onboard, we offer talk events where you can experience Ainu culture and a performance of the traditional instrument "Mukkuri".

You can land on Churui Island, which is normally only accessible during the day, and enjoy stargazing from the observation deck and viewing the Marimo Exhibition and Observation Center.

To conclude the cruise, you can enjoy a spectacular fireworks display launched exclusively for this cruise, viewed from the deck of the boat.

After disembarking, you can watch "Akan Yuhkara Lost Kamuy" at the Akan Ainu Theater Ikoro. (Excluding some courses and dates) Experience Ainu culture firsthand.
