Zoom Seminar on July 16: Basics of Polypropylene (PP) Resin and Material Recycling

AndTech (Headquarters: Kawasaki, Kanagawa; President: Masao Suyama) is organizing a technical seminar on the structural properties and modification methods of Polypropylene (PP) as part of its R&D support services. Amid growing concerns over marine plastic pollution, this course uses PP as a case study to explain polymer manufacturing, processing, structure, and physical properties, while discussing the history and future of plastic recycling. The seminar will be held on July 16, 2026, from 12:30 to 16:30 via Zoom, with a participation fee of 45,100 JPY. The lecturer is Yutaka Kobayashi, a board member of the SPE Japan Chapter. The program covers topics such as the history of plastic recycling, degradation factors (heat, light, additives), molecular weight control, composite processing, and the use of modifiers.
