Anritsu Corporation has launched a CXL (Compute Express Link) 2.0/3.x evaluation solution by enhancing its Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A to support data center performance upgrades. This solution enables high-speed CXL transmission evaluation, streamlining interface design. CXL efficiently connects CPUs/GPUs with memory and I/O devices. As CXL evolves from PCIe physical layers—CXL 2.0 (PCIe 5.0) and CXL 3.x (PCIe 6.0)—speeds increase. The shift from PCIe 5.0 NRZ 32 Gbaud to PCIe 6.0 PAM4 32 Gbaud complicates signal evaluation. CXL 3.x supports 64 GT/s PAM4 transmission, requiring precise verification under stress while isolating physical and protocol issues. The MP1900A is a high-performance BERT supporting PCIe, CXL, USB, and 400/800 GbE. It features a high-quality PPG, high-sensitivity ED, and jitter/noise injection, supporting Link Training and LTSSM analysis. The new solution lets users build test sequences—including abnormal and load tests—via an intuitive GUI. It supports simultaneous multi-lane evaluation and condition reproduction (Jump/Loop) for near-real-environment testing, accelerating verification and CXL 2.0/3.x interface quality improvement.
