Hiroshima Motomachi Aquarium (Director: Fumihiro Sato, Location: 7F Paseo, 6-78 Motomachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City) will hold its first event to support elementary school students' free research, titled "Hints for Free Research!? Discover the Wonders of Living Creatures!" starting July 21, 2026 (Tue).
In this event, aquarists will clearly introduce the "charm" and "mysteries" of living creatures, as well as topics related to the sea, using videos, quizzes, specimens, and more. It is a participatory program where children can learn while looking, touching, and having fun with the aquarists.
It is the perfect event for children struggling to find a theme for their free research, as it allows them to deepen their interest by exploring questions like "Why does this creature have this shape?" or "What kind of life does it lead?" while learning about the forms and characteristics of creatures that are usually difficult to know, and guiding them to find answers.
Furthermore, the themes and aquarists in charge will change daily, so you can encounter new learning experiences each time with the excitement of "What discoveries will there be today?" and from the different perspectives and points of interest of each aquarist. The appeal of this event is that you can enjoy different content every time you participate.
This event is also open to parents and children, so please come to Hiroshima Motomachi Aquarium with your family to find a theme for your child's free research.
