Arealink Compares Hello Storage Usage Trends in East and West Japan

Arealink analyzed 36,936 rental trunk room contracts from 2025 to compare trends between East and West Japan. In East Japan, 31.3% of users utilized storage for business tools or office organizing, while in West Japan, 33.8% used it for relocation, remodeling, or rebuilding. Regarding utilization periods, 23.8% of East Japan users opted for long-term storage of 25 months or longer, driven by business and office space limitations. Conversely, 24.2% of West Japan users chose short-term usage of 1 to 3 months, aligning with relocation needs. Corporate users accounted for 19.4% in the East and 16.2% in the West. Hello Storage plans to continue optimizing its storage services to support regional lifestyles and business needs.
