Asahi Shimbun Company (Representative Director, President & CEO: Katsuhito Tsunoda) has been ranked 44th out of 19,681 companies in the general category of the "Best Companies to Work For Ranking 2026" conducted by OpenWork Inc. The "Best Companies to Work For Ranking" selects the top 50 companies with high overall ratings based on employee reviews. Asahi Shimbun is the only company from the broadcasting, publishing, newspaper, video, and sound industry to be ranked. This ranking has been announced annually since 2014, and this is the first time for the company to be ranked.
The ranking is compiled from employee and former employee reviews submitted to "OpenWork," Japan's largest employee review service operated by OpenWork Inc. As of the end of February 2026, OpenWork has accumulated a total of 21 million employee reviews and evaluation scores, utilized by 7.88 million users. As of March 2025, there are 1,956 companies in the broadcasting, publishing, newspaper, video, and sound industry on OpenWork.

Quantitative Evaluation Ranked
The "Best Companies to Work For Ranking" General Edition ranks companies with high overall evaluations based on eight quantitative evaluation items: satisfaction with compensation, employee morale, openness, mutual respect among employees, growth environment for those in their 20s, long-term talent development, awareness of legal compliance, and fairness of performance evaluation.
