Nikka Frontier Can Highball Launch Event to Be Held

Asahi Beer (Head Office: Tokyo, President: Kazuo Matsuyama) and Nikka Whisky Distilling Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo, President: Naoto Ono) will hold an event on July 14th at Tokyo Midtown Canopy Square to commemorate the launch of the canned highball "Nikka Frontier Highball," which Asahi Beer will release in limited quantities on July 14th.

The venue will feature a mobile car as a symbol, and the brand's world will be created using promotional materials that incorporate the initial "N" symbolizing the "Nikka Frontier" brand and its image color, orange. Merchandise such as socks, hoodies, and original glass sets will also be sold, and a campaign utilizing social media is planned.

The canned highball "Nikka Frontier Highball" is a canned highball based on the whisky used in "Nikka Frontier." It uses a key malt of strong-flavored heavy peat malt whisky from the Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido, and the original whisky, finished using a non-chill filtered method that creates a rich flavor, allows you to enjoy a rich aroma and smoky taste. By releasing the canned highball, we aim to create opportunities for people who have not yet tried "Nikka Frontier" or those who enjoy highballs to enjoy the "Nikka Frontier" brand more casually.

"Nikka Frontier" is a whisky brand launched in 2024. It was developed with the desire to pass on the frontier spirit of Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whisky, who pioneered the history of Japanese whisky, to future generations. In Japan, in addition to becoming a topic of conversation among whisky enthusiasts before its release, it was highly praised for its rich malt aroma, pleasant smoky taste, design featuring the company logo's initial prominently in the center, and brand concept expressing Masataka Taketsuru's frontier spirit. Exports will begin in 2026, and it is currently sold in South Korea, France, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. We will continue to convey the appeal of Nikka Whisky and the diverse ways to enjoy whisky by strengthening promotional efforts for the "Nikka Frontier" brand.
