On April 17, 2026, the non-profit organization Alopecia Style Project Japan (ASPJ), co-hosted with Shiseido Co., Ltd. and ViewBE, Inc. (Faview), held an experiential DEI event titled 'Discover New Me! Finding the "New Me" Starting with Hair' at the Uvance Innovation Studio. Attended by 25 people, including corporate professionals, affected individuals, hair and makeup artists, and student volunteers, the event was recognized as a model case for co-creative DE&I support between an NPO and startups.

The day's program featured wig trial experiences, a lecture by a Shiseido hair and makeup artist, scalp and hair condition diagnostics using ViewBE's AI service 'Faview,' and a talk session sharing the experiences of those with appearance changes.

In a participant survey, approximately 70% gave the event the highest rating, and over 85% reported that their understanding had deepened. It also served as a practical learning opportunity for student volunteers from the Shiseido Beauty Technical College.

ASPJ plans to package this achievement and offer it as an experiential DE&I training program for companies and organizations. The program aims to help participants recognize 'unconscious bias' through dialogue with affected individuals and solve issues related to workplace psychological safety and communication—a program already successfully implemented at a mutual life insurance company.
