Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill will hold the 'Boys, be ambitious Event' from April 16 to 19, 2026, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Dr. Clark statue. The first day will feature free admission and an ambassador appointment ceremony.

This day is also the day when Dr. Clark called out "Boys, be ambitious." from horseback when saying goodbye to his students in Shimamatsu 99 years earlier, on April 16, 1877.
