Atatamaru Aimani Co., Ltd., based in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, will launch "Amanatsu Ginger Ale" on April 20, 2026. This new carbonated beverage uses 10% Izu-produced Amanatsu juice and domestic ginger, developed to utilize processing-grade Amanatsu that JA Fuji Izu previously discarded. An estimated 3 tons of such Amanatsu were unutilized annually in the Atami and Ito districts. Atatamaru Aimani procured approximately 1 ton in 2025 and plans to procure 3 tons in 2026 for production. The company targets 10,000 bottles in sales for this year, which is projected to contribute to consuming about 3 tons of previously unutilized Amanatsu, increasing the region's overall Amanatsu utilization by about 20%. The product will be sold at roadside stations and souvenir shops in Shizuoka Prefecture, and through the company's online store and wholesale platforms. It is priced at 500 yen (tax included) for a 340ml bottle, with a shelf life of one year, and contains no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. The company also sells "Izu Lemonade," launched in March 2024, which has achieved cumulative sales of 40,000 units and uses 7% Izu-produced lemon juice. Atatamaru Aimani, established in April 2023 by Representative Director Ryo Kurimoto, focuses on developing and selling locally sourced agricultural processed products from the Izu and Shonan regions.
