New 'Baby Mat SOYO' with Gentle Airflow Inside the Mat to Prevent Stuffiness

Atex Co., Ltd. This product features a gentle airflow inside the mat to prevent stuffiness. It will be available from June 8, 2026, at maternity, baby, and kids specialty store 'Akachan Honpo'* and its online shop (https://shop.akachan.jp), as well as Atex's direct sales site 'ATEX Direct' (https://atexdirect.jp).

Babies have higher body temperatures than adults and tend to sweat a lot. Therefore, stuffiness and heat during sleep are concerns.

Now, a baby version has been added to the 'SOYO' series. A gentle breeze, like a soft wind, flows inside the mat, comfortably promoting the baby's sleep.

POINT 1: Structure Designed to Release Stuffiness

A small fan is built into the mat, creating airflow to expel trapped heat and moisture.

The mat uses a three-dimensional fiber structure made of resin fibers, ensuring high breathability. The surface is made of a cushioned mesh fabric, and a double mesh fabric is placed at the air intake for efficient air intake. The back features a quilting non-slip finish, designed to prevent shifting.

POINT 2: Effective in Suppressing Humidity

Temperature and humidity were measured for 60 minutes at the area contacting the back of a person lying down, comparing a regular futon with the 'Baby Mat SOYO'.

Results showed that using the 'Baby Mat SOYO' reduced the temperature by approximately 0.9°C and significantly decreased humidity by about 23.5%. This confirmed that heat and moisture are less likely to accumulate, allowing for a more comfortable experience (based on company tests).

POINT 3: Comfortable Every Day, Always Clean

The fan can be removed, allowing the entire main unit to be washed, so it can be cleaned immediately if a child wets the bed, keeping it hygienic. The main cover is machine washable (use a laundry net), and the inner material is also hand-washable, making maintenance easy (please refer to the instruction manual for fan maintenance).

The monthly electricity cost is approximately 9 yen, making it economical (calculated based on 9 hours of continuous use per day at 31 yen/kWh). It also features an automatic off timer, allowing you to set the usage time to 3, 6, or 9 hours.
