ATOMica Launches "NAGANO STARTUP LANDING" to Support Startup Relocation and Entrepreneurship in Nagano City

ATOMica Inc. (Headquarters: Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture; Co-CEOs: Mizuki Shimada, Kazuki Nanbara; hereinafter "ATOMica") is launching "NAGANO STARTUP LANDING" in collaboration with Nagano City to support startups in relocating to and establishing businesses within the city. This initiative aims to assist startups and aspiring entrepreneurs, both within and outside Nagano City, in establishing a base and growing their businesses there.

ATOMica operates the "Go Local" program, which supports the regional relocation of companies and entrepreneurs in collaboration with municipalities nationwide. Leveraging its expertise, ATOMica will provide relocation support and growth assistance through connections with Nagano City's support systems.

◾️ Background

Nagano City has a history of promoting new initiatives, such as supporting new business creation for local companies, encouraging new challenges within the city. However, to further revitalize its industry and attract a wider range of startups, it has become crucial to strengthen the environment where companies and entrepreneurs from both within and outside the region can foster their businesses in Nagano City.

Furthermore, in fiscal year 2025, the Nagano-Niigata wide-area consortium was selected as a "2nd Phase Startup Ecosystem Hub City" by the Cabinet Office (a program by the government to support key regions for startup creation and growth). Nagano City, as one of these hubs, is keen to promote an environment where startups can support each other from inception through growth.

Against this backdrop, to realize Nagano City's vision of becoming a "Creative City," this initiative has been launched not only to foster new businesses and entrepreneurship within the city but also to enable startups and aspiring entrepreneurs active outside the prefecture to start and grow their businesses in Nagano City.

◾️ About This Initiative

The name of this initiative is "NAGANO STARTUP LANDING." The word "LANDING" evokes the image of startups arriving in Nagano City, finding a base for their business, connecting with local people and businesses, and embarking on new challenges.

ATOMica's "Go Local" program collaborates with municipalities nationwide to support the regional relocation of companies and entrepreneurs. It focuses on creating mechanisms where companies and regions meet and grow together, starting from the region's industrial characteristics and relationships with local supporters. ATOMica also has a network of "Community Managers," professionals specializing in connecting people, stationed in over 60 facilities nationwide.

This initiative will utilize this expertise and network to facilitate encounters with companies and aspiring entrepreneurs suited to Nagano City's characteristics, and to support relationship building within the region after relocation and establishment.

Through these efforts, ATOMica aims to expand the circle of startup support centered around Nagano City, in collaboration with the city itself.
