Nakanos Station's New Gateway, "Atre Nakano," Scheduled to Open December 9, 2026 (Wed)

Atre Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroyuki Takahashi*) is scheduled to open "Atre Nakano" at Nakano Station on December 9, 2026 (Wed). This development involves the construction of a station building accompanying the development of a north-south passage above the railway lines on the west side of Nakano Station and the construction of a new station building. The facility, directly connected to the new ticket gates, will house approximately 70 shops and aims to be a new gateway that enriches the daily lives of the community. The concept is "Blend N - Something new is born when you mix things." We aim to propose new value to the local community and visitors by blending newness (NEW) and necessities (NEED) with the local people (NEIGHBOR).

Atre Nakano Development Overview

This development plan involves constructing a north-south passage above the railway lines on the west side of Nakano Station, building a new elevated station building, and attaching Atre Nakano to it. This will make it easier to travel between the north and south sides of the town, and Atre Nakano, comprising approximately 70 shops, will be completed. We aim to create a convenient station building that offers daily necessities, supporting the lives of local residents and adding color to their everyday lives.

[2F] The concourse floor, directly connected to the new ticket gates, will feature carefully selected shops that upgrade everyday dining, including sweets, prepared foods, and light meal shops with eat-in options.

[3F] This floor will be divided into a retail zone, primarily featuring a composite apparel shop for men and women, and a dining zone. The dining options will cater to groups, including women dining together or families with children.

[4F] This floor will house shops that appeal to all genders, centered around a large general store and a bookstore. A service zone will also be developed to support daily conveniences.

[5F] Utilizing the convenience of direct station access, we will offer a "rooftop BBQ with bring-your-own options" and create an "open rooftop plaza" that anyone can easily visit, providing a space where one can feel the wide-open sky and fresh air in the heart of the city.

Atre Nakano Concept "Blend N - Something new is born when you mix things."

Nakano Station, located about 5 minutes from Shinjuku Station, is known as a hub for subcultures with a rich variety of unique shops. Currently, large-scale town development projects are being planned and implemented around the station.

As Atre Nakano opens in the "heart of Nakano," its concept has been set as "Blend N."

The word "Blend" embodies our desire to create positive changes by having various people and elements mix in the town of Nakano, making the entire town better.

As a new gateway to the multifaceted town of Nakano, Atre will propose ways to enrich daily life, staying close to the local community.

Creating a "New Gateway to Nakano" Together with the Community

Currently, a large-scale urban development project, described as "once in a century," is underway around Nakano Station. To advance this new town development, Nakano City, UR Urban Renaissance Agency, and JR East are collaborating and cooperating, leveraging their respective expertise to promote the development of new ticket gates and station plazas. Atre Nakano will be built as a new gateway to Nakano together with the local community.
