Audible Launches New 'Korean Content' Genre with Audio Drama Adaptation of Classic K-Drama 'Stairway to Heaven', Premiering May 28th

Amazon Audible, one of the world's largest services for the production and distribution of audiobooks and audio content, is launching a new genre, 'Korean Content,' as part of its 2026 initiatives. The first title, an audio drama adaptation of the classic drama 'Stairway to Heaven,' will be available starting May 28th (Thursday). 'Stairway to Heaven' was a massive hit in the 2000s, recording a peak viewership rating of 42.4% in South Korea. It sparked a major boom across Asia and captured the hearts of many viewers in Japan as well. Now, over 20 years later, this memorable work is being revived in a new form as an Audible Original audio drama. The story depicts the pure love between the heroine, Jung-suh, and the wealthy heir, Song-ju. Separated by a promise to reunite, Jung-suh loses her memory in an accident and lives as another person, Ji-soo. Song-ju finds himself strongly drawn to Ji-soo, seeing the shadow of Jung-suh in her. It is a poignant love story about two people who continue to care for each other despite being tossed about by a cruel fate. The cast features Kentaro Maeda as Song-ju, Ichika Osaki as Jung-suh, Kohei Shoji as Tae-hwa, and Ririka Kawashima as Yuri. This multi-cast production by talented young actors offers a new audio experience with immersive performances and unique audio drama direction. Furthermore, the classic theme song 'I Want to See You,' which moved many to tears, has been newly recorded by TAEHYUN of the globally active boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER. The song will be available on Amazon Music for one month starting June 4th (Thursday), and can be heard early as an insert song within the Audible drama starting May 28th.
