BroadMind Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kiyoshi Ito; Securities Code: 7343; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which develops and provides financial services to support the realization of life plans under the purpose of "Unleashing the Power of Finance," will hold an online seminar for company executives, HR managers, and welfare managers on July 23, 2026 (Thu). The seminar is titled "Making the Return to Work After Maternity/Childcare Leave More Secure - A New Form of Welfare to Support Return to Work from the Perspective of Financial Education".
Background of the Event
From the perspective of promoting women's active participation, while maternity and childcare leave systems are increasingly being established year by year, many HR managers express concerns such as, "We don't know if employees are able to be as active as before after returning to work," and "We feel a decrease in engagement."
Behind this are not only factors related to "ways of working" such as post-return placement, job duties (maternity track*), and career development, but also the anxieties related to personal finances that are definitely having an impact. For example, there are anxieties and pressures related to "household finances accompanying changes in life stages," such as a decrease in income (take-home pay) due to reduced working hours, and the immediate pressure of education and childcare expenses.
*Maternity track: A phenomenon where women who return to work after childbirth or childcare are assigned to less responsible, supportive roles, unrelated to their own intentions, and are excluded from opportunities for promotion or salary increases.
However, because these concerns are extremely personal, employees find it difficult to consult about them, and it is also difficult for supervisors and HR to delve into them. Therefore, there has been an aspect where the essence of this issue is difficult to see with only the design of conventional systems and welfare benefits.
Our company focuses on these "areas that cannot be fully resolved by systems alone" and proposes a new way of supporting companies and employees through the lens of financial education tailored to life stages such as maternity and childcare leave.
Seminar Overview
The lecturer is Nakamura, who, as an FP (Financial Planner), has dealt with the financial and money-related concerns of over 2,000 households. He has also been involved in promoting corporate financial well-being and supporting employees before and after childbirth and childcare, while encouraging behavioral changes in employees.
We believe that the anxieties and concerns employees have vary depending on their life events/life stages, and that providing tailored support and environmental improvements for each individual will lead to the resolution of issues that cannot be fully addressed by uniform systems alone.
Based on this experience, this seminar will explain the reality of "financial anxieties" that employees tend to have before and after maternity/childcare leave, the support that companies are expected to provide, the role of financial education (improving financial literacy), and the form of continuous support as welfare benefits.
