Bashauma Technologies, a tech company specializing in AI-driven software development, solution building, and DX support (Headquarters: Okayama, Tokyo Branch: Minato-ku, Representative: Kentaro Miyake), announced its certification as a University of Tsukuba venture. Simultaneously, the company has begun offering the 'Bashauma AI Edge Solution,' which operates entirely on PCs and smartphones. As the first product of this solution, the beta version of 'D-meeting' has been released, allowing for voice input, transcription, summarization, and issue organization during meetings to be completed entirely within the smartphone device. Bashauma Technologies operates under the mission of 'Turning challenges into art, solutions into daily life, and making that evolution.' With this certification, the company aims to further promote the social implementation of AI solutions that are practical for field use by connecting research, technology, and business development. The 'Bashauma AI Edge Solution' utilizes generative AI running on smartphones. Its primary feature is a design that processes data such as recorded audio and transcriptions locally on the device, without sending it to external servers. Since meetings often involve sensitive information like sales, HR, and customer data, many companies are hesitant to adopt AI. D-meeting supports the entire meeting process—preparation, facilitation, and post-meeting organization—on a smartphone. Before the meeting, it organizes objectives; during the meeting, it supports the flow of discussion; and after the meeting, it organizes decisions and action lists. D-meeting is based on a project developed by Representative Kentaro Miyake during the 2021 'Mitou' IT Talent Discovery and Development Program. Moving forward, the company will collect feedback from beta users and proceed with customizations tailored to individual corporate workflows and security requirements.
