The BMW & MINI Racing Committee (Organizing Office: Geomagic Motorsports Co., Ltd. [Headquarters: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Representative Director: Wataru Morishita]) has released a new visual movie for the 'BMW M2 Racing,' a newly added customer racing model in BMW & MINI Racing 2026 (hereinafter 'BMR.2026').

The BMW M2 Racing is a circuit-exclusive model that inherits the prestigious customer racing lineage from BMW M Motorsport. In Japan, it is handled by Toto BMW (Tokyo) and Elbe Auto Co., Ltd. (Osaka), both officially certified BMW M Motorsport Dealers.

With the BMW M2 Racing, BMR.2026 aims to expand new entry points for motorsports enthusiasts to 'learn,' 'watch,' 'experience,' and 'compete.'

The newly released visual movie showcases the BMW M2 Racing’s powerful styling, the thrilling performance on the circuit, interviews with racing drivers, mechanics, and managers involved with the BMW M2 Racing, and embodies the BMR.2026 vision of motorsports that goes beyond just 'watching'—creating an immersive brand experience.

BMR.2026 has been held as a serious one-make racing series under the BMW/MINI brand, supported by numerous drivers, teams, fans, and event sponsors. The intense on-track battles, the unique world of the BMW/MINI brand, and the strong community among participants are key attractions exclusive to BMR.2026.

However, many people interested in motorsports still feel uncertain about where to start, perceive racing as a high-barrier activity, or have concerns about vehicle costs, maintenance, and expenses.

To address these challenges, BMR.2026 aims to evolve from a 'watch-only' race into a motorsports platform where people can 'experience,' 'consult,' and 'compete.' The release of the new visual movie for the BMW M2 Racing is a strategic initiative to raise awareness of these efforts.

BMW M2 Racing Vehicle Information

BMR.2026 RD.3 will be held over two days on June 20 (Sat) and 21 (Sun), 2026, at Fuji Speedway.

Fuji Speedway is one of Japan’s premier high-speed circuits, featuring a 1.5km main straight and technical sections. It offers an ideal stage to experience close, one-make racing battles up close—such as straight-line duels, braking contests, and cornering tactics.

At BMR.2026 RD.3, intense races from the BMW M2 CS Racing Series and MINI CHALLENGE JAPAN will take place. We invite you to experience on-site the driving excitement of the BMW/MINI brand, the tension among teams and drivers, and the unique atmosphere only a circuit can offer.

The BMW M2 Racing is a customer racing model developed by BMW M Motorsport. Equipped with circuit-specific features, it delivers full racing car performance and is gaining attention as a new option for customer racing.

In BMR.2026, the BMW M2 Racing is positioned not just as a competition vehicle, but as a stepping stone for motorsports enthusiasts to take their first serious step into racing. For example: watching races live at the circuit, experiencing the sound and power of the vehicles on-site, touching the appeal of the BMW M2 Racing at test drive events, and discussing personal racing plans through participation consultation.

By establishing this seamless journey, BMR.2026 aims to lower the barriers to motorsports and create an environment where more people can engage with BMW/MINI racing culture.

Plans to launch test drives, simulator experiences, and race participation consultation desks in the second half of 2026

BMR.2026 plans to hold circuit test drive events to allow people to experience the appeal of the BMW M2 Racing more concretely.

By allowing participants to drive the race car on an actual circuit, we aim to create opportunities to experience the BMW M2 Racing’s driving performance, vehicle refinement, and the unique excitement and tension of racing. Additionally, test drives for the MINI JCW and MINI CPS are also planned.

In addition to test drives, we plan to soon launch pre-race circuit driving lessons via simulators and consultation desks for race participation. The consultation desks will provide clear, beginner-friendly guidance on licenses, vehicles, equipment, maintenance, race week schedules, and team structures required for racing.
