Authentic Taiwanese Castella with Japan's Premium Ingredients Now Available at Mikado Station – Fluffy 'Fuwa-Shua' Texture Draws Crowds!

BOC Japan LLC (Headquarters: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; Representative: Tomohiko Komatsu), which operates the franchise of Taiwanese food stores, will hold a limited-time event at 'My Sweets' in Etomo Mikado, directly connected to Mikado Station on the Tokyu田园都市 Line, from July 14 to July 20, 2026, for its Taiwanese castella specialty store 'TaiRaku Tangao (Tai Le Dan Gao).'

On March 12, 2021, amid the pandemic, 'TaiRaku Tangao' opened at Tokyu Plaza Ginza. On its opening day, a long queue extended all the way to Tokyo Metro Ginza Station, becoming a rare bright spot in difficult times. Since the opening of the Tokyu Plaza Ginza store, the shop has received strong customer support, with repeat customers steadily increasing. It has been featured on Nippon TV's 'ZIP,' 'Hirunandesu,' and '1 Oku 3000 Man Nin no SHOW Channel,' Fuji TV's 'Mezamashi TV,' and BS Asahi's 'Teiban Times.' It has also been covered in the Yomiuri Shimbun, Sankei Shimbun, women's magazines 'GINGER' and 'Hanako,' and travel guidebooks.

For this pop-up, the store will offer the popular plain Taiwanese castella, faithfully recreating Taiwan's traditional method and local flavor and texture. Also available are the signature burnt butter vanilla sugar castella, six types of half-and-half sets featuring cheese and Earl Grey, and individually sized cut castella.
