Borderless Academy, a social business school operated by Borderless Japan (located in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture; CEO: Kazunari Taguchi) and led by Takashi Hanzawa, launched seven new courses on June 11, 2026. Along with this, the official website has been completely renewed and made public.
To date, Borderless Academy has supported the launch of over 130 social businesses through its 3-month mentorship program, which has been attended by over 500 people. This time, they have launched the "Field Tour Program" to experience the realities of social issues, and the "Social Business Practical Program" to learn skills necessary for business promotion. They have overhauled their program structure to allow participants to choose based on their phase and challenges, from the initial exploration stage to practical learning for business growth.
◼︎ Building More Social Entrepreneurs: New Challenges Identified Society faces various issues such as climate change, educational inequality, poverty, and isolation. However, there are not yet enough social entrepreneurs tackling these challenges with business power. Borderless Academy has operated "Intensive Courses" and "Social Entrepreneur Mentorship Courses" based on the practical knowledge of Borderless Japan, which has developed 45 social businesses in 15 countries worldwide. With over 130 social businesses born from over 500 participants, it has achieved high results as an entrepreneurship school.
However, it became clear that entrepreneurship is not the only goal. Even with a strong will to change society, practical management knowledge and colleagues are essential to sustain and grow a business. Therefore, they have built a new program system where participants can learn according to their phase and challenges.
