Compact USB Type-C Hub for Charging, Data Transfer, and Video Output to Launch in Early August

Buffalo Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President and CEO: Hiroyuki Makie, hereinafter referred to as Buffalo) will start shipping and selling the BSHM2U100C1P series USB hub from early August 2026. This product is a USB hub that can add two ports to the USB Type-C port of smartphones and tablets for charging and data transfer. It supports USB PD (Power Delivery), with the PD input port supporting up to 100W* for fast charging. You can charge devices while simultaneously transferring data to external storage or outputting video to external displays, allowing you to back up data while sleeping or enjoy long hours of video viewing without worrying about battery depletion.

*Note: Although the PD input port (Port 1) supports up to 100W, the maximum output to connected terminals is 92W due to the product's operating power and data transfer port supply consuming up to 8W.

The product supports USB3.2 (Gen2) for high-speed data transfer up to 10Gbps (specification value), allowing smooth movement of large video and photo data. By combining Buffalo's free application "Photo Backup" and USB Type-C compatible external storage (SSD, USB memory, etc.), you can easily back up and manage daily memories. Additionally, the data transfer port supports video output up to 4K/60Hz*, allowing you to enjoy video on external displays such as monitors.

*Note: The connected device must support Displayport Alternate Mode.

The product weighs approximately 9g and is compact, smaller than the width of a typical smartphone, making it easy to carry in a bag without taking up space. No complex settings like driver installation are required; simply plug it into the Type-C port of your smartphone or tablet, and anyone can use it immediately.
