[National Theatre Okinawa] July/August Original Performances / Theatre Backstage Tour Information

The National Theatre Okinawa has scheduled performances for families in July and August.

While the "Kumiodori" at the National Theatre Okinawa is performed in the Okinawan dialect, standard Japanese translations are displayed in front and to the sides, so you can enjoy it even if you don't understand the dialect.

For the Kumiodori World ~Discover Kumiodori~ "Banzai Teiguchi" to be performed on July 18 (Sat), a tea serving corner will be set up in the lobby before the performance. Additionally, a musical instrument experience corner will be set up in the foyer, and a Kumiodori workshop will be held in the foyer after the performance.

For the "Ryukyu Dance Appreciation Class" to be performed on August 15 (Sat), a Ryukyuan costume experience will be held in the foyer after the performance.

Furthermore, those who purchase tickets for either of the above performances can participate in the theatre backstage tour on July 25 (Sat) and 26 (Sun) for free.

<Synopsis>

Janushi, whose father was killed by Takaderauzashi, decides to take revenge with his brother Keiun, who has become a monk. Hearing that Takaderauzashi and his party are going to the beach (a purification ritual), the brothers disguise themselves as traveling performers and approach the enemy while performing a "Banzai" dance...

An introduction to the theatre backstage tour, which is not only ideal for children's and grandchildren's summer vacation research projects but also enjoyable for adults.
