Tamas Co., Ltd., which develops the "Butterfly" brand, is fully launching the "Let's Deliver the Joy of Table Tennis to 10,000 Children! Project," in collaboration with Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions (President: Satoshi Matsui, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), T.League (Chairman: Kazuya Sakai, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), and Shogakukan Academy (President: Tsutomu Kida, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), to kindergartens, nursery schools, and centers for early childhood education and care across Japan.
This project was launched in 2025 with the goal of "accompanying the growth of children in early childhood through table tennis." It has been providing "Table Tennis Play Program Sets for Infants" (including picture books, racket-making kits, etc.), which were developed in collaboration with active childcare workers, free of charge.
As the program was introduced and practiced in some facilities, there were reactions such as: "The children were absorbed in moving their bodies," "It became a catalyst for cooperation and communication," "Even children who are not good at sports enjoyed it," and "It's perfect for indoor activities on rainy days."
Table tennis is a sport that can be enjoyed regardless of physique or age, and naturally fosters communication with others and the joy of taking on challenges. Through this project, the company aims to provide "first table tennis experiences" and new play and learning experiences to children nationwide as an opportunity to foster "the joy of moving the body," "the joy of cooperating with friends," and "the self-affirmation of 'I did it!'" which are valuable to cherish during early childhood.
Please apply for the table tennis play program set for infants here.
* Application deadline: Friday, May 29th * If applications exceed 100 schools, a lottery will be held.
