The real estate market price information site 'How Much Did It Sell For? Real Estate Market Price Map,' operated by Buzzbait Inc., conducted an 'Awareness Survey on Home Sale Market Prices' targeting 278 homeowners nationwide. The results revealed that while 67.6% recognize that 'selling without knowing the market price leads to a loss,' 71.2% answered that they 'do not know how much their home would sell for,' and 70.9% have 'never checked their home's sale market price,' highlighting a significant gap between risk awareness and actual behavior. The survey showed a strong trend that detached house owners are less likely to know the market price, with 75.2% of them answering they 'do not know how much it would sell for.' While 'no plans to sell' was the most common reason for not checking, psychological and informational barriers such as 'it's a hassle,' 'don't know how to check,' and 'don't want to contact real estate companies' also account for a non-negligible percentage. The survey suggests the importance of an environment where people can easily check market prices without contacting agents, utilizing data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
