*1: The J-Credit System is a mechanism by which the Japanese government certifies greenhouse gas emission reductions from the introduction of energy-saving and renewable energy equipment, and greenhouse gas absorption through appropriate forest management, as "J-Credits." Issued J-Credits can be traded with other companies, and purchasers can use them to achieve their own greenhouse gas reduction targets.

[Date of Agreement]

July 7, 2026 (Tue)

A signing ceremony was held at Naruto City Hall on the day of the agreement.

[Agreement Details]

With the aim of contributing to the realization of carbon neutrality in the Naruto City region of Tokushima Prefecture, the four parties will cooperate on the following matters:

(1) Provision of information, services, and know-how related to environmental value (2) Creation of new business models utilizing environmental value (3) Other matters that the parties deem conducive to the purpose of this agreement

[Background of Agreement]

Naruto City is promoting initiatives towards the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, aiming for the realization of a sustainable society in the future. To achieve this, it is promoting the introduction of solar power generation systems for homes, etc.

Meanwhile, ByWill and The Tokushima-Taisho Bank signed a customer referral agreement on January 26, 2024 (Fri), and have deepened their collaboration with the aim of promoting regional decarbonization. This partnership agreement was reached when Tokugin Tomoni Linkup, a subsidiary of The Tokushima-Taisho Bank that promotes regional decarbonization and revitalizes primary industries by utilizing natural capital, introduced ByWill to Naruto City.

[Future Outlook]

With the aim of realizing Naruto City's Zero Carbon City vision, the four parties will cooperate to promote the creation and circulation of J-Credits. The initiatives will begin with the creation of solar-derived J-Credits, and the policy is to explore and implement methods that lead to effective decarbonization in Naruto City, such as energy-saving derived credits and, in the future, blue carbon.

Within this framework, ByWill will seamlessly support the J-Credit creation project in Naruto City, from registration and application to monitoring and sales of the created credits. Furthermore, regarding sales, ByWill will cooperate with The Tokushima-Taisho Bank and Tokugin Tomoni Linkup to promote decarbonization in Naruto City and surrounding regions through "local production for local consumption."

Going forward, ByWill, as a "Climate Asset Developer," will not only promote decarbonization but also achieve fundamental GX by creating new collaborative connections beyond corporate scale and regions, and generating sustainable financial circulation that enriches local economies. Through these efforts, ByWill will expand environmental value nationwide and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
