[Certified NPO Cancer Net Japan]
Founded in 1991, our mission is to provide scientifically based information so that cancer patients can undergo treatment based on their own will. We became an NPO in 2001, opened a dedicated secretariat in January 2007, and are currently active nationwide with bases in Tokyo and Osaka. We became a certified NPO in January 2016 and our main activities include awareness events on various cancers, production of the "You Should Know More Series" booklets installed at cancer treatment collaboration hospitals nationwide, and educational programs such as training courses and certification exams. Through these activities, we aim to realize a society where people facing cancer can do so in their own way. The Japan Cancer Forum, held annually since 2014 to disseminate the latest medical information on all types of cancer, including rare cancers, is one of the largest cancer awareness events targeting not only cancer patients and their families but also the general public. https://www.cancernet.jp/
