These commercials are the sequel to the corporate CM series that introduces the Canon MJ Group's initiatives under the catchphrase 'A company that realizes an ultra-exciting future.' Through the humorous exchanges between Kento Kaku, playing a passionate employee, and Wakana Matsumoto, playing a stakeholder, the commercials depict the Canon MJ Group's commitment to solving social issues by walking alongside customers through 'Video x AI' and 'Security.'

Since September 2024, Canon MJ has been airing corporate commercials that reinterpret the initials of (C)anon (M)arketing (J)apan Group as (C)ompany that realizes an (M)ind-blowing (J)ourney to the future. This catchphrase embodies the desire to create a future full of hope and joy by solving social issues.

Now, Canon MJ has produced new corporate commercials again featuring Kento Kaku and Wakana Matsumoto, which will start airing on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

In recent years, social issues facing companies, such as responding to the '80% society' with a shrinking workforce and the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks, have become more serious. The Canon MJ Group is promoting business transformation support through 'Video x AI' and providing security solutions to address these challenges. The new commercials focus on 'Video x AI' and 'Security,' depicting the Canon MJ Group's approach of staying close to customers and supporting them until problems are solved, embodying the 'company that realizes an ultra-exciting future' through solving social issues.

The commercials will air on terrestrial TV, in-train advertisements on major railway lines in the Tokyo metropolitan area, station concourse vision screens at major stations in the Tokyo area, and digital signage in some Seven-Eleven stores in the Kanto region. They will also be shown on taxi signage, airport signage, and digital advertisements.

Using the image analysis solution 'Canon Industrial Imaging Platform Vision Edition' (hereinafter 'Vision Edition')* that utilizes network cameras, Kaku explains that 'Video x AI' can automate various tasks and resolve labor shortages, enabling a future where people can focus on work that only humans can do. Matsumoto responds with a pun: 'So, video is 'eizou' (image) for solving problems, right?'

●Behind the Scenes of the CM Shoot

Kaku and Matsumoto reunited for the first time since the company's corporate CM in 2024. Matsumoto responded to Kaku's humorous acting with impeccable timing, and their lively exchanges energized the set, with laughter erupting every time the director called cut, creating an exciting filming atmosphere.

During the filming of the 'Video x AI' segment, Kaku repeatedly tried the special pronunciation of 'AI' (pronounced 'ei-aa-i'), resulting in a quirky take that even made him laugh. Kaku's unique performance shone through.

In the 'Security That Walks Alongside You' segment, there was a scene where Matsumoto's line 'So, you'll always be with me?' was exchanged with Kaku five times. •Kaku: This was my second time working with Matsumoto, but she is so natural and down-to-earth that it didn't feel like that at all. I had a very comfortable and enjoyable shoot.

•Matsumoto: I had fun from before the shoot started and throughout, thanks to Kaku's personality. His improvisational skills were impressive and kept me entertained.
