SB C&S Signs Exclusive Domestic Distribution Agreement for Ascentech's Virtual Human AI Platform 'Edge AI Array'

SB C&S Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "SB C&S") has signed an exclusive domestic distribution agreement for the on-premises generative AI platform "Edge AI Array" for virtual humans, provided by Ascentech Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Matsuura; hereinafter "Ascentech").

Enterprise AI utilization is evolving from text generation to multimodal AI that combines speech, video, and dialogue. In particular, virtual humans capable of natural, human-like communication are gaining attention in fields such as customer service, education, and entertainment. However, real-time inference and high-quality audiovisual generation require advanced GPU resources, leading to complex infrastructure setups and high operational burdens when integrating multiple systems.

"Edge AI Array" is a compact rack-mount server (2U) approximately 9 cm in height, capable of housing up to five AI-optimized GPUs. It integrates the LLM/RAG system—the AI's "brain"—with multiple frontend functions that serve as the AI's "body," enabling an efficient AI infrastructure ideal for virtual human operations. This integration simplifies system architecture, reduces space requirements, and lowers operational burdens, making it suitable for industries where human interaction is critical, such as local governments, tourism and hospitality, healthcare, retail, and automotive sales.

Through the provision of "Edge AI Array," SB C&S will support enterprises in adopting generative AI and deploying virtual humans. By offering comprehensive support from AI infrastructure to application utilization, SB C&S aims to promote AI adoption and expand the market for domestic enterprises.
