G-SHOCK Achieves Time Accuracy and Durability to Withstand Harsh Sky Environments

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release the GWR-B3000, a new product in the aviation-concept GRAVITYMASTER line of its shock-resistant G-SHOCK watches, on July 10. This model adopts a newly developed movement and tough structure, pursuing time accuracy and durability in a cockpit subject to vibration and shock.

The Master of G series, designed for professionals working in harsh environments, offers models specialized for land, sea, and air operations. Among them, GRAVITYMASTER continues to evolve, providing the visibility, functionality, and durability required by pilots for use in the confined cockpit during flight.

The GWR-B3000 is a shock-resistant watch that employs the newly developed TOUGH MVT. 2 movement to maintain accurate time even in the cockpit during flight. In addition to the performance of the conventional TOUGH MVT., it is newly equipped with functions that autonomously respond to shock and magnetic fields. The automatic hand position correction function with shock detection instantly detects strong impacts and automatically corrects the hand position to maintain proper time display, in addition to conventional periodic automatic correction. The magnetic field detection function pauses the movement of the hands when a strong magnetic field is sensed, preventing deviation from the reference position, and resumes normal operation when the magnetic field disappears.

Furthermore, using AI-based analysis technology for shock-resistant structures, the watch adopts a Dual Hollow Structure that simulates drop impact, centrifugal force, and vibration in a composite manner, optimizing individual parts. By combining multiple resin cushioning materials and precision metal parts formed by MIM (Metal Injection Molding), a thinner profile is achieved. This provides a comfortable fit on the wrist and durability that absorbs shock.

To allow instant time reading even during operation, a new matte dial has been developed with fine surface processing that diffuses incident light and reduces reflection, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight.
