Castem Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; Representative: Takuo Toda) will exhibit at the 3rd SPEXA International Space Business Exhibition, held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 27 (Wed) to May 29 (Fri), 2026.
At this exhibition, the company will showcase its expertise in precision casting and Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology, specifically tailored for high-performance and difficult-to-cut materials such as the super-duralumin aluminum alloy A7075, Inconel, and titanium.
To address challenges such as "wanting to reduce material costs," "reducing machining costs for difficult materials," and "finding a supplier for small-lot parts," Castem offers part manufacturing solutions utilizing casting and MIM technologies. The company supports everything from small-scale prototyping to small-lot repeat production.
[Exhibition Overview] Exhibition: 3rd SPEXA International Space Business Exhibition Dates: May 27 (Wed) – May 29 (Fri), 2026, 10:00–17:00 Venue: Tokyo Big Sight, South Exhibition Hall, Booth S6-2 (3-11-1 Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo) URL: https://www.spexa.jp/tokyo/ja-jp.html
[Handling High-Performance and Difficult-to-Cut Materials] In the space industry, there is rising demand for high-performance metal components that offer lightweight and heat-resistant properties. Castem provides precision casting for aluminum alloys (A6061 and A7075) that achieve both high strength and lightweight, as well as the heat- and corrosion-resistant Inconel 625. The company also plans to exhibit molded examples of 64 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) using MIM technology.
[Diverse Material-Shaping Technologies] ■ Lost-Wax Precision Casting: Excels in complex 3D shapes, reducing part counts and weight via integrated molding. Supports over 70 steel grades. ■ MIM (Metal Injection Molding): Excels in mass production of fine, thin-walled, and small parts, handling shapes difficult for machining. ■ Digital Cast®: A mold-free casting technology combining 3D printing and precision casting. Supports production from one unit, enabling short lead times and low costs.
Through these methods, Castem provides integrated, one-stop service from small-lot prototyping to mass production.
