CellFiber Launches New Brand 'Zeito™' for Global Expansion of Cell Fiber Manufacturing Equipment

CellFiber, Inc. (HQ: Koto-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazuchika Furue), a company aiming to contribute to cell medicine through cell culture technology, announced on May 25, 2026, that it has established 'Zeito™' as the product brand for its cell fiber manufacturing equipment, targeting expansion in both Japan and the United States.

Along with the branding, the company has renamed two of its products. There are no changes to the specifications or functions of the products.

In December 2025, CellFiber announced the 'Zeito™ Plus Cell Encapsulation System (formerly CellFiber Extruder),' a GMP-compliant device that enables large-scale production of cells for regenerative medicine products. The device was developed with support from the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) to achieve mass cell production using the company's proprietary CellFiber® technology.

The device is specifically designed for large-scale cell culture in GMP-compliant manufacturing, stabilizing and streamlining the cell fiber manufacturing process while reducing production time. It also enhances cell function by providing an optimal cell culture environment.

'Zeito™ Lite Cell Encapsulation System (formerly CellFiber SSP)' is a tabletop device provided for cell fiber manufacturing in the early stages of research.

These rebranding efforts were initiated in preparation for the upcoming sales launch and promotional activities in Japan and the US.

Origin of the Brand Name 'Zeito™'

'Zeito' is a coined word combining the German word 'Zeit' (time) and the Japanese word 'Ito' (thread). 'Zeit' expresses the efficient cell therapy development process enabled by CellFiber® technology, while 'Ito' (thread) symbolizes the fiber structure. Furthermore, 'Zeito' is associated with Greek-derived expressions meaning 'longevity' or 'living with vitality,' aligning with CellFiber's mission to contribute to the development of the cell therapy industry and improve patients' quality of life.

Through Zeito™ brand products, CellFiber continues to expand its cell culture devices using CellFiber® technology in Japan and around the world, contributing to the advancement of regenerative and cell medicine.
