Lawson United Cinema Completes Installation of "CHARGESPOT" at 38 Theaters

(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President: Toshihide Shimizu) announced today that they have completed the installation of "CHARGESPOT" in all 38 Lawson United Cinema theaters nationwide on April 1, 2026. Both companies will collaborate to establish a charging environment that allows customers to fully enjoy their movie experiences and to promote new user adoption.

Cinemas are venues for long stays, with showtimes ranging from 1.5 to 3 hours. Many visitors utilize smartphones before and after screenings for social media posts, ticket checks, and route searches. However, there are many voices, especially among younger demographics, expressing concern about their phone batteries dying during movies, making in-theater charging facilities a direct issue for improving customer experience. With the installation of "CHARGESPOT" in 38 theaters, an environment has been prepared where customers can fully enjoy their time before and after the screening without worrying about charging.
