Social Welfare Corporation Chitose Kyowakai (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Satoshi Yamaguchi) will open the developmental support facility 'Manmaru Chitose Minami-Nagareyama' within the Minami-Nagareyama Chitose Nursery School on June 1, 2026. This facility is the organization's first in-school developmental support center, representing a new inclusive childcare model that integrates daily childcare with developmental support. Although originally scheduled for April 1, the opening was rescheduled to June 1 to ensure a better support system. By having specialists stationed on-site, the facility aims to improve the expertise of nursery staff and provide detailed, personalized support for each child. To introduce the facility's features to the local community, an open school will be held on Saturday, June 13. Furthermore, as part of this model's expansion, the opening of 'Manmaru Chitose Hiroo' (within Hiroo Chitose Nursery School) is planned for next month. In recent years, children's developmental characteristics have become more diverse, creating a demand for more specialized support in childcare settings. However, the separation of childcare and developmental support often places a burden on children, parents, and caregivers. In response, the organization has adopted a new approach: 'making the childcare environment itself a place for developmental support.' The presence of specialists is expected to enhance staff expertise, integrate knowledge, and enrich support for each child. The facility combines small-group activities with individual support to foster a sense of achievement through play. Additionally, it provides consultation on enrollment and schooling to support local child-rearing comprehensively. Use of the facility is not limited to specific schools; children attending any nursery or kindergarten are welcome.
