Sherpa & Company Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Jun Sugimoto; hereinafter 'Sherpa') will host the 6th 'ESG Journal Cafe' (hereinafter 'the Event') on Friday, June 26, 2026, featuring Ms. Emi Matsukawa, Japan Market Director of the general incorporated association CDP Worldwide-Japan (hereinafter 'CDP'), as a guest.

In recent years, the demand for sustainability information disclosure has increased, particularly among large corporations. Responses to mandatory disclosures based on standards like the SSBJ (Sustainability Standards Board of Japan) and third-party assurance are becoming more serious. However, in practice, many companies are overwhelmed by parallel external evaluation responses and various report disclosures, struggling with massive data collection, confirmation tasks across departments, resource shortages, and ad-hoc management.

This event, featuring Ms. Matsukawa from CDP, will explore the concept of 'Write once, use many' – viewing disclosure not as a goal but as a starting point for action, and leveraging responses to evaluation bodies as a foundation for mandatory disclosures. The latter half will feature a workshop themed 'Visualizing Your Company's Current ESG Status,' providing an opportunity for participants to organize challenges together and consider the systems needed to shift from 'one-off response' to 'sustainable disclosure operations.'

Sherpa was recognized for its support track record and business content, being certified as a 'CDP Silver Accredited Solution Provider' (Category: Software, Themes: Climate Change, Forests, Land, Water) in August 2025 (*), building a strong relationship with CDP and providing software support for accurate and efficient collection and visualization of corporate environmental initiatives and emissions data.
