A Spectacular Volume for Tokyo: 140 Varieties of Irises in Full Bloom
At 'Shobu-numa Park,' located just a short walk from Kita-Ayase Station, colorful purple and white irises start blooming from mid-May and reach their peak between early and mid-June. Wooden paths are specially set up in the iris fields to allow visitors to admire the flowers up close.
The park also features photogenic spots like a 4-meter tall waterfall, babbling brooks, and a triple waterwheel.
From Friday, May 22, to Sunday, June 21, the iris fields will be illuminated from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing visitors to enjoy the evening scenery.
'Shobu Festival' at Shobu-numa Park on June 6 (Sat) and 7 (Sun)
In addition to admiring the irises, the 'Shobu Festival' offers numerous attractions for all ages. Visitors can enjoy local products from Adachi's partner cities (Kanuma, Tochigi, and Uonuma, Niigata), food stalls by local companies, and an art performance combining bubbles and music.
Held Simultaneously: 'World Food Plaza' at Ayase Station Front
At 'Higashi-Ayase Park (Hato Square)' in front of Ayase Station, an international food event featuring over 25 countries will be held. Over 30 groups will serve freshly prepared dishes such as jambalaya, kebabs, and pan-fried xiaolongbao.
The official Adachi City LINE account will distribute 'Otokuupon' (discounts/extra services) for use at the 'World Food Plaza.'
