From Tuesday, June 9, 2026, it will be possible to exchange "Tokyo Points" on the "Tokyo Metropolitan Official App" for combined admission tickets to the Hino City Shinsengumi no Furusato History Museum and the Hino-juku Honjin.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Official App is designed to allow every citizen to connect with the government via smartphone, aiming to provide a more convenient experience.

The app grants "Tokyo Points" for participating in activities of social significance. These points can be exchanged for partner payment provider points or for tickets to metropolitan facilities.

Hino City is now utilizing this app, initially offering combined admission tickets for the "Shinsengumi no Furusato History Museum," which symbolizes "Shinsengumi's hometown Hino," and the "Hino-juku Honjin," the only remaining main encampment building in Tokyo, as items that can be exchanged for Tokyo Points.

Users can exchange their points via the Tokyo Metropolitan Official App: 300 Tokyo Points for an adult ticket and 70 Tokyo Points for a child (elementary/junior high school student) ticket. Upon entry, the app ticket will be verified at the reception desk. A commemorative paper ticket will also be issued (since it is a combined pass, please present this paper ticket when entering the second facility).

The "Shinsengumi no Furusato History Museum" conducts exhibitions, surveys, and research on topics including the Shinsengumi, the end of the Edo period/Meiji Restoration, and the Koshu-kaido Hino-juku in Hino, where Shinsengumi figures such as Toshizo Hijikata and Genzaburo Inoue were born.

"Hino-juku Honjin" is the former residence of Hikogoro Sato, who served as the village headman of Hino and was known as a supporter of the Shinsengumi. It is a historic building connected to the Shinsengumi, visited by historical figures such as Isami Kondo, Toshizo Hijikata, and Genzaburo Inoue. It is the only remaining Honjin building in Tokyo and is designated as a Tokyo Metropolitan Historic Site.

The two facilities welcome over 25,000 visitors annually. We hope this app will serve as an opportunity for more people from both inside and outside the city to learn about and visit these sites.
