Ichihara City and SOMPO Care Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa Seaside East Tower, 4-12 Higashi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) signed an agreement on August 4, Reiwa 8 (2026), concerning the 'Ichihara Elderly Monitoring Network Project'.

About the Ichihara Elderly Monitoring Network Project

The project aims to protect the well-being of elderly residents by enabling partner organizations to gently monitor their conditions during daily operations. If any changes in an elderly person's status are observed, the organization contacts the Ichihara City Integrated Support Center—the primary consultation window for elderly care—ensuring timely support and a safer living environment.

Launched in fiscal year 2014 (Heisei 26), the project now includes 37 participating organizations, including SOMPO Care Co., Ltd., with monitoring activities taking place across various locations in Ichihara City.
