Itabashi City will launch two new subsidy programs in FY2026: the 'Childcare Household Housing Renovation Support Project' and the 'Multi-generational Relocation Support Project.' These initiatives aim to create a housing environment where childcare households can live in Itabashi with peace of mind.

The city has formulated the 'Housing Future Vision 2035,' a basic plan for housing and environments, with one goal being 'creating housing where childcare households can continue to live securely.' In response to the trend of more families in their 30s and 40s moving out of the ward than moving in, the city aims to promote the renovation of existing homes and support relocation to achieve proximity or co-residence with parents.

Please note that both programs require households, housing, and construction to meet all specified conditions. Prior application to the city is required to receive the subsidy, and the programs will end once the budget limit is reached.

### Childcare Household Housing Renovation Support Project This project provides a portion of renovation costs to those performing work that contributes to the safety of children, promoting a secure housing environment for families.

### Multi-generational Relocation Support Project To promote a housing environment where childcare households can live near parents and raise children with peace of mind, the city will subsidize a portion of relocation expenses.

**Target Relocations:** - Moving from outside the ward into the ward to live near or with a parent household already residing in Itabashi. - Moving within Itabashi to live near or with a parent household. * 'Near residence' means both the parent and childcare households live within Itabashi City.
