Iyo City, Ehime Prefecture to Host 'Nakayama Chestnut Parfait Recipe Contest 2026' Featuring Local Specialty 'Nakayama Chestnuts'. [Application Period] April 1 (Wed) to June 30 (Tue)

《Background of the Event》 'Nakayama Chestnut' is one of the three major chestnuts in Japan. Ehime Prefecture ranks 3rd in the nation for chestnut production.

With a long history, the 'Nakayama Chestnut' was presented to the third Shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu, and received high praise.

Despite being a famous production area for chestnuts, Nakayama Town is not widely known. We are holding this contest to help more people learn about the town, promote the charm of Nakayama Chestnuts, and create regional vitality.

Application Requirements - Must use Nakayama Chestnuts (including processed products). - Must be able to attend the 39th Nakayama Chestnut Festival on September 23rd (Wed) (tentative). - Must be an original parfait suitable for each restaurant (Hana no Mori Hotel, Koyomi Space, Hot Sand Restaurant Neko). - The work must be an unpublished recipe. - There is no limit to the number of entries.
