<<Background of the Event>>

'Nakayama Chestnuts' are one of the three great chestnuts of Japan. Ehime Prefecture ranks third in the nation for chestnut production.

With a long history, Nakayama chestnuts were once presented to the third Shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu, and received high praise.

Despite being a famous production area for chestnuts, Nakayama-cho's appeal is not yet widely known. We are holding this contest to help more people learn about the town, promote the charm of Nakayama chestnuts, and create local excitement.

Application Requirements

- Must use Nakayama chestnuts (including processed products). - Must be able to attend the 39th Nakayama Chestnut Festival (scheduled for September 23, Wednesday). - Must be an original parfait suitable for each participating establishment: (Hana no Mori Hotel, Koyomi Space, Hot Sand Restaurant Neko) - Entries must be unpublished recipes. - There is no limit to the number of entries.
