[Now Recruiting!] Honba Oshima Tsumugi Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team

Kagoshima City is recruiting two members for the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team to inherit the manufacturing techniques of 'Honba Oshima Tsumugi,' a traditional craft with a 1,300-year history. The start date is scheduled for April 1, 2026, and members will be employed by the Honba Oshima Tsumugi Textile Cooperative. Duties include learning manufacturing techniques, promoting the craft, and revitalizing the industry. Applicants must currently reside outside Kagoshima City and be able to move to Kagoshima City after starting the program. The selection process includes an internship.
