The 12th Kyoto Kameoka Half Marathon will be held in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, on December 13th this year.
The Executive Committee of the Kyoto Kameoka Half Marathon (Chairman: Takahiro Kasegawa) will begin accepting applications for the "12th Kyoto Kameoka Half Marathon" to be held on Sunday, December 13, 2026, starting on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
This event is a highly-regarded race that has been continuously selected for the "Top 100 Running Races in Japan," chosen by runner votes from approximately 1,400 races nationwide.
This year, the race will be held on a special stage that carries over the excitement from the 43rd National Urban Greening Fair in Kyoto Tamba, held in the fall, allowing participants to experience the harmony of nature and sports unique to Kameoka.
Based on achievements in the 2023-2024 races.
Also Among the "Top 100 in Japan"! A Course with Top-Class Evaluation in Kansai and Excellent Accessibility
The biggest reason for the strong support from first-time participants is the excellent accessibility and a course design that is easy to run from a runner's perspective.

"A Flat Course Where You Can Aim for Your Personal Best, and a 5th Place Ranking in Kansai"
Scene from the start of the 11th Kyoto Kameoka Half Marathon. Many cheers from the roadside during the race, which took place after the rain. Pocari Sweat, sponsored by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., was also provided.
The flat course, surrounded by rich nature, is particularly downhill in the latter half, making it popular among runners as "easy to aim for a personal best."
In addition to the easy-to-run course, the cheers from the roadside and the provision of local specialty products have been highly rated, ranking 5th in the Kansai area race rankings in December 2025, among other accolades. We support your challenge with a support system trusted by runners nationwide.

The "Fun Run," where everyone can enjoy at their own pace, is back!
This year, in addition to the existing events centered around the half marathon, the "900m Fun Run (Wheelchair)" and "1.3km Fun Run (Pair Run, etc.)" have been revived. This allows children, their guardians, and wheelchair runners who may find it difficult to run long distances to share the excitement of the event.
We aim to create an event where not only top runners aiming for records but also everyone can experience the joy of sports.
