Improving Park Convenience through the Park-PFI System
The Park-PFI system allows selected operators through public solicitation to install park facilities that generate revenue contributing to the convenience of park users. The revenue generated from these facilities is then used to comprehensively develop and renovate other park facilities, such as restrooms. At Tachibana Park, in addition to the installation of rental spaces and a cafe, the existing park restrooms have been renovated from Japanese-style to Western-style toilets, and equipped with ostomate-compatible toilets and diaper changing stations, making them barrier-free and accessible for everyone, including the elderly and people with disabilities.
