Kawasaki City is currently hosting the event 'Nature Hunting with an App! Let’s Create the Kawasaki Wildlife Map Together!' from Wednesday, July 1 to Monday, August 31, using the smartphone app 'Biome,' which uses AI to identify living organisms. Participants can submit photos of nearby wildlife and complete missions to enter a prize draw.
The purpose of this event is to encourage residents to notice local wildlife and green spaces, learn about Kawasaki, engage with the community, and grow to love the city.
For the first time, selected submissions (※1) from the 'Biome' app will be reflected on the 'Kawasaki Wildlife Map'—a digital map developed by the city that allows users to post and view local wildlife sightings on a map.
(※1) Excerpted from submissions where users have consented to data sharing, excluding information deemed unsuitable for publication by the city (e.g., rare species, unidentified species, or unclear photos).
