[Applications Open until 6/14] Kitakyushu City Hosts 'Job Experience 2026'! - Summer Vacation: The Whole City Becomes a Stage for Children's Job Experience -

Kitakyushu City will host the 'Job Experience 2026' program for children during the summer vacation, in collaboration with local companies and facilities. This program is designed to help children broaden their future dreams and interests by meeting diverse professionals and experiencing real work. After its successful debut last year, which saw a 6.1x application rate and 96% participant satisfaction, the program has significantly expanded this year. The number of participating companies and facilities has increased from 11 to 25, with a capacity of approximately 300 participants. Available jobs include pilot, flight attendant, aircraft mechanic, firefighter, banker, soccer player, and veterinarian. The 'Child Mayor' program will also continue, offering children a special experience to engage with municipal administration through discussions with the mayor. The program runs from July 21 to August 25, 2026, and is open to elementary and junior high school students in the city. Applications are accepted via the Kitakyushu City website until June 14.
