Miyazaki City has prepared entry rights for the '40th Aoshima Pacific Marathon 2026' as a return gift for donors through the hometown tax donation program, limited to 30 applicants!

40th Aoshima Pacific Marathon 2026

The 'Aoshima Pacific Marathon' (commonly known as 'Aotai') is a popular annual marathon held every December in Miyazaki City, blessed with a warm climate.

The course features a flat design with minimal elevation changes, making it runner-friendly and ideal for achieving personal best times.

Along the route, runners enjoy stunning views of the blue sea, palm trees, and clear skies—like running through a tropical resort.

Last year's 39th edition attracted over 10,000 runners from across Japan, solidifying its status as a winter tradition in Miyazaki.

Tropical Road

The first half of the course runs through central Miyazaki City's main streets, while the second half features the scenic 'Tropical Road' overlooking Aoshima Island and the Pacific Ocean.

With few steep climbs or sharp turns, the race is popular among runners of all levels, from beginners to veterans.
